Hanks For The Memories…
Hank Marvin Markets
Alma Park East – 204 Dandenong Road, St Kilda East Vic 3183
They say good things come to those that wait and after protracted delays reportedly due to red tape, Hank Marvin Markets is finally up & running. The St Kilda East market launched on Saturday 1st August 2015 and will operate indefinitely every Saturday from 9am to 3pm at Alma Park East.
The actual line up will vary weekly, but expect to see a strong representation from Melbourne’s flourishing food truck sector alongside fresh & gourmet produce stands. Word has it the market will also assist local community organisations by offering space at the market at no charge.
Food trucks on board include Happy Camper, White Guy Cooks Thai, Trailermade, Ooodle Licious, Nuoc Mama’s, Gorilla Grill, Bluebonnet BBQ, Mr Burger & Billy Van Creamy.
Shtell Bagels will be peddling their signature wood fired bagels and Uncle’s Smallgoods from Dandenong will be making the trip down with their Polish smallgoods. They’ll also be free range eggs courtesy of Josh’s Rainbow Eggs and bread & pastries from Yarraville’s much loved Cobb Lane. Fresh fruit & vegetables will also be on offer.
One of my major gripes about visiting food trucks is not having anywhere to sit and enjoy my meal, but there is plenty of seating available at Hank Marvin Markets, including some undercover dining and a bar with its own sectioned off area if you fancy a tipple.
Judging by my visit on the second Saturday of trade, the expansive park setting is already drawing in loads of locals in spite of the winter weather. The market is particularly family friendly and seems popular with dog owners too.
Hank Marvin may be cockney rhyming slang for starving, but you won’t be going home hungry with over 40 stalls offering up such an impressive variety of edible treats.
Nice blog here! Also your site loads up very fast! What web host

Can’t wait to check Hank Marvin’s out, especially with the warm weather upon us!
